Review

2005-12-16 - Bono's voice? submitted by John Sorensen

This is difficult to write. I've been a huge U2 fan and seen them several time over the past 20 years.

I don't know who was running the sound board last night. However, Bono's voice sounded so distorted that it was a crime. About 70% of the show was like this.

I have heard people complain about the acoustics of the Qwest Center. I've seen and heard many shows there and it's not the best venue for acoustics. Last night's show was the most disappointing from a sound perspective.

It had to be the sound engineer's fault because some songs really came through, such as Miss Serajevo. I'll be curious to see what other people have to say.

The show would have been stellar if it wasn't for this issue. The crowd was really in to it. It's amazing how the band and Bono can make 16,000+ people feel like they are the only person in the room.
