Review
2005-12-15 - One of the very very best! submitted by Mr JThis show was sort of a cooperation between MTV and ZOO TV (surreal!). A video link fed the show straight into the home of a lucky winner of a competition of MTV. The people Bono speaks to during the show (which can be heard on numerous bootlegs, usually in terrific quality) are the lucky winners.
Somehow the interplay between the band and the winners sparked the show. Bono is kicking ass this night and seems a bit emotional at times. Especially the short speech before Love is Blindness shows a very thoughtful Bono. Earlier in the show the winner was joking with Bono about not being rich like him. Somehow Bono seems to have been reflecting about this and tells the winner to not waste his hard earned money at the trip he has been invited to going to the States.
In short this is one of my absolute favourites shows by U2. I think they should look into their vaults and dig out that video-tape recorded from this show and release it. This would be a show for the band to be remembed by! back
