Sir, we are all respectfully entitled to our opinions. Mine is that Ms. Sarajevo is one of the most wonderful, topical, and surreally brilliant additions to the set-list that has occurred on this tour. I honestly cannot think of another song that has been included which carries the timely weight of this one-- not even Bloody Sunday (I personally get tired of the anthems and, like you, also prefer the more creative and off-beat pieces).

It is quite easy for me to see what is absolutely not-pedestrian about Ms Sarajevo -- not to mention the beautiful vocal delivery. But then, I am not a “balding, middle-age folk with kids”, but nor am I a “bleeding heart liberal”. I am sorry you did not enjoy it, maybe give it another chance??

However, I am glad you enjoyed the show anyway, despite the dull setlist, bad sound and subdued crowd you described. Some shows are better than others; my experience is that it is very much the people in the audience who set the tone for the performance-- an interesting reversal of roles, don't you think? / S.W.
