2001-11-17 - 11/12/01 - staples centre submitted by jmrazyall know what an exceptionally wonderlust show u2 puts on. the show on monday was no exception. some highlights were:
tribute to victims of the attack in new york.. anonymous girl pulled on-stage to play bonos acoustic guitar.. bonos message went from "love me" (from a few months ago in san jose) to something strangely waxing close to patriotistic (yeah i made that word up).. VIP seating, VIP lounge access, VIP everything (also something we didnt have in san jose).. didnt have to wait in line, in the pouring rain, with 20+ thousand people (read above about VIP access).. building acoustics were better than arco arena !
the music was phenomenal, and just about everyone who was anyone in LA, was present and sitting among jen and i. this was my second u2 concert this year, and the crowds from both of the concerts were similar; all of us were in tune with the music.
