Review
2005-11-22 - PDKAnother superb performance by U2 !
Bono's voice was amazing. Edge, Larry and Adam were all amazing in their own special way. Im a life long U2 fan I have to tell you I dont remember seeing Adam as energetic and fan friendly as he was tonight....
I read other reviews and notice there are many that have incredible disapointment because U2 didnt sing a particular song. I think theres always going to be disapointment with a band that has so many many great songs.....They cant them all..
Worst songs of the night:
-Elevation- Safe to say its a favorite amongst the typical U2 poser fan. Its just ridiculous how many better songs there are then this one..
-Mysterious Ways - Way to much of a watered down version..Let this song go guys..Give me something/anything off the Pop album.
Best songs of the night:
Miss Sarajevo - An amazing performance by Bono..Just amazing.
Instant Karma - A song never performed by U2. Joined on stage by Patty Smith. Whata surprise
Bad - The show comes to an end on such a high with Bad.......
I'll post another preview for tonights show. The rumor here in NY is that U2 will be taking to the stage a full 30 minutes earlier because of this being the final of 7 New York shows..
And one final thought.. This day in 2004. November 22nd I found myself in a state of shock watching the biggest most talented band in the world performing a free concert under the Brooklyn bridge. Never had a chance to thank U2 for that show. The show that gave us the first ever taste of How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb....Ive been to various shows on the Vertigo tour and NONE compare to your 11-22-04 concert under the bridge........Thank You Bono, Adam, Larry and Edge.
