2017-09-18 - Amazing show...dialed in for New Orleans submitted by Justin Morabito

I was fortunate enough to see U2 in Tampa in June. The last time I saw the band was about 25 years ago for Zoo TV tour in Tampa (Public Enemy opened up for them??). That show 25 years ago was totally over the top. The Tampa show this year reminded me that NO BAND does an audio/video experience like U2. The music was good but the Visuals were unsurpassed.

Move forward to Thursday night in New Orleans. A little background for me and concert going....

9/3 - Saw Ed Sheeran in Charlotte, NC (amazing live, a must see!!)
9/9 - Saw One Republic in Denver, CO (fell in love with them in Tampa after I saw them opening for U2)
9/12 - Daughtry and Nickelback at Red Rocks (best venue on the planet)

9/14 - U2!!!!

My buddy and I got to see something you can't quite put into words. I felt like Bono dialed back the political talk (which I appreciated even though I agree with his views 100%). They still did the tribute to women....thought it was a GREAT touch they they added Heather Heyer (who lost her life in the Charlottesville Protests)...very classy!!!

Bono and the rest of the band seemed very dialed in to being in New Orleans. Lots of chatter about New Orleans...he even made sure we the crowd new about everything The Edge had done for New Orleans after Kartrina. U2 also did a little ditty about the New Orleans Saints, which was cool. The music was very loud in Tampa and they kept it turned up to 11 in New Orleans, but I don't care...

This Concert one of the best concert experiences of my life. The mixture of an iconic band, amazing audio, unparalleled video resulted in an experience that can only be explained live. Thank to U2 for not "phoning it in" and providing a concert experience that is worth every penny.
