Review

2005-11-22 - First Concert for a long time fan submitted by Kelly Debeljuh

I have been a huge fan of U2 for many years, since I was about 19. I have always told people that U2 is my all-time favorite group. I have died to go to a concert for years and something always kept me from being there.
Nov. 19th was my first time to experience U2 live and in person. I was SOOOO excited!!! I cannot explain the emotion that swept through my heart as they came on stage and I stood sometimes standing in amazement - and at other times jumping and dancing to the music. I had wanted so bad to be in the elipse - but at least I was only about 4/5 people back from the edge of the walkway - where the band members stopped many times. I loved how all the metallic confetti was let down when then began their first song, cool!! I like the mixture of songs from throughout the years, I knew most of the words. My favorite song is Bad - and I didn't think they were going to play it - but they snuck it in at the VERY END. Boy, I was crying in happiness then. I only wish that I had been able to attend concerts of theirs in the past - boy, I have missed a lot. I'll have to buy the DVDs.
Great concert!! I hope they have other tours in the future.
