Review

2005-11-16 - Still can rock submitted by dwf

last night's show was alot of fun, despite the sound problems, which lessened as the show went on, they have such a great body of work it is hard not to put on a great show. Despite the safe numbers(new stuff), and the standards which we want to hear (with or without), they really blew the place apart with bullet, streets and fly, I will not soon forgot those numbers. Also, telling us Bloody is now our song may be lost on many of the young fans, but as one who waited all day to watch the red rocks video come on MTV back in the 80's, it meant something, but can only wonder why have they become so safe? they certainly would not have the mega succuss they are having now with the young fans, and maybe when Bono said it is better to work with people, is a sign of maturity and wanting to build wide support for his cause. All I know is the new stuff (last 2 albums) excite the masses, but doesn't deliver the goods like the old stuff.
