2005-11-10 - U2 have the power submitted by RicWas it just coincidence that these 2 shows occured on and after Election day in California?
Anyone who doubts that rock can change the world has never seen U2. The message is clear, Bono can say the things that no one wants to hear. Move the crowd to change the thinking of the old guard, the world has to move forward and America must lead the way. This coming from an Irish Band!
This stop of the tour after 1 year out finds the boys in tight form. From the monster opening that is so fundamental with them, to a killer night with Exodus,Sgt. Pepper and Rock the Casbah thrown in as memoriums. The night seemed short.
Coming back with another 6 song set with The First one and an amazing Fast Cars sealed it!
There is a subliminal conciousness when I leave these shows and it is that we can do more; Love,Peace and Goodwill towards others is the beginning.
U2 can give us hope that there will be a better tomorrow. back
