Review

2005-11-09 - Still Amazing!!! submitted by Elizabeth

I had a bit of trepidation going to this show as it is towards the end of the third leg and my seat location.
All was thrown out the window when they came out and blew us all away!! I attended the April show at the Hp pavillion, and this one at the Oakland arena was one thousand times better. Not that our men were not good in April, but the quality of the sound was far better. Bono's voice was so beautiful that it truly didn't matter that I had THE worst seats in the house(last row behind the stage). It is said many times that U2 can make a huge arena feel very intimate, and it is very true. When Bono sang to his father with "Some Times You can Make It On Your Own, it gave me chills and you could feel his passion and intensity, even way up in the back row!!! I really enjoyed this concert a lot, and it felt like I was seeing good old friends once again. Fantastic job guys. Oh one more thing, The Edge was on fire last night and so was Larry and those drum solos on Love and Peace or else!! And Adam, well what can I say...Too cool for words. Wonder if he enjoyed Bono giving him a peck on the lips? Funny moment.
