Review

2005-11-04 - Please come back to the 'burgh! submitted by Reno

U2... what can I say? If you are on this site then you are a fan as well. The first time I saw them was back at Three Rivers for the PopMart tour in '97. My seats were better then, just a mere two rows away from the extended stage. My seats were a little further back for my trip to the Mellon Arena, but it was just as well. U2 rocked my ass off in these seats just as much as when the boys were 15 feet away.

I have no complaints on Bono's voice or no complaints period. Although I would like to hear them do some more songs from Pop and Zooropa. (Please! Lemon! Numb! Mofo! Gone! anything, guys? Those were great albums!)

Pittsburgh was sandwiched between two nights in D.C. and two nights in Detroit. Why didn't we get two nights? It could have easily sold out. Pittsburgh (and West Virginia, where I live) loves U2 and we want them back soon!!

And the ending was phenomenal. I loved, loved, loved, the way each band member left the stage one-by-one. Everybody sang "40" all the way back to the hotel, and for the rest of the night for that matter.

Actually I do have a complaint. It's that after-concert-feeling of a "let down" that the show is over and the tickets that I had held onto for 7 months are used and the show is but a memory.

Thanks for Oct. 22nd, guys. It was a great night and one I'll remember for a long time to come.
