Review

2014-10-11 - Quality not Quantity submitted by Sean Donald

It was in the Speakeasy upstairs in the Queens Union. Me and a few mates were having a few beers and catching up. We were there early and there were only about 10 people there (think we were 6 of them) when U2 started playing. I loved the music from the start and got up to dance. Bono asked me for a cigarette (had them in my shirt pocket but they weren't mine as I never smoked) and then tapped me on the head with an Ashtray and told me I shouldn't be smoking. They played all the Boy songs and I Will Follow and Electric Co were big favourites with everyone (Everyone was out dancing by the end). I loved the Gig and so did my mates. Didn't realise it was the first gig outside the Republic but stars were born that night! I have been to nearly every gig in Ireland since then and just love the U2 sound!
