Review

2005-10-31 - WOW!! submitted by Selena Short

The word WOW pretty much sums up my U2 concert experience. It was a great show! The lights, the music, the crowd, the band--I was in this state of awe the entire time. Listening to their music live brought about all these emotions I've never felt with other bands. I was on the verge of crying each time they started playing--I get teary-eyed just talking about the concert! The crowd was great, especially the grown men behind me singing LOUDLY and dancing around in their seats! That inspired me to let loose a bit! I've been a fan of U2 since I was a small child, being introduced to them by my dad (and MTV of course, back when they actually played music videos) and at the age of 26 I've finally been able to live the dream of seeing them in concert. My husband told me that this was my Christmas and birthday present, because the tickets were a little expensive, but you know what?--IT WAS SO WORTH IT!! I love how U2 has crossed so many generations . . . I looked around at the people sitting close to me. In front there were a couple of jr. high kids rockin' their socks off with their parents; behind me, some people my age; and off to the right of us were 40-somethings . . . it was so AWESOME! I hope they're still rockin' when we have children. I'd love for them to experience what I did Friday night. . . By far the greatest show I've ever seen!
