Review

2005-10-04 - Brilliant Band submitted by Edward Todd

To quote the singer from Keane, who opened the show, U2 is a brilliant band and this concert was incredible. At 25 I was too young to see them during the great tours around the time of Joshua Tree, and had no interest in seeing the Pop Mart tour, this was the first time I had an opportunity to see them. It was the most incredible show I have ever seen and look forward to seeing them again in December. They played a nice mix of old and new songs. The band sounded incredible particularly during my favorite Sunday Bloody Sunday. It was great to hear the old songs I missed when I was younger. Unfortunatly as we all know Bono doesn't have the voice he once but he did a very good job singing them the best he could but the Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullin sounded incredible. It was electric when the opening chords started for their greats like With or Without You, Where the Streets Have No Name, One and the drum beat during Sunday Bloody Sunday. It was just amazing and they are one of the best bands ever.
