from The Milwaukee Channel MILWAUKEE, 4:41 p.m. CDT May 9, 2001 --Fans lined up at the Bradley Center ticket window early Wednesday to snag a coveted spot on the floor. No -- they weren't there for the next round of Bucks playoff tickets, rather they were waiting for a shot at the coveted "festival seats" for the U2 Elevation concert Wednesday night.

The seats are part of the 2,000 standing-room-only floor tickets purchased by fans. The first 300 fans with floor tickets to enter the turnstiles are given special wristbands and escorted to the Heart Stage, the closest stage to the band. "There's a concern that people are going to be coming in, rushing in and basically beating the people who have waited there for 12 hours into the heart and there would be chaos on the floor," fan Beth Foley said. There have been 24 U2 concerts this year and have been no injuries reported at them. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., there are still scattered single seats available.
