Hi folks, as some of you might know some people over here in Germany have started a fund-raiser on behalf of Chernobyl Children's Project (a charity organisation which gets heavily supported by U2 and especially Bono's wife Ali - check out www.adiccp.org for more detailed information).

The fund-raiser gets officially supported by Mercury Records (Germany) and - yet not officially confirmed - by Island Records International (UK). In Germany we also have support from Eins Live (one of the biggest radio stations over here) and VIVA TV (comparable to MTV). The fund-raiser gets accompanied by a give-away free for all donators which includes lots of rare U2 related items, like a large print from the "Best Of" Album Cover signed by all four (some of the nicest signatures I've seen so far, collected in 1998 directly from Island London for promotional use), rare promo CDs plus some signed (and individually numbered) pictures from Wim Wenders (from the MDH Movie, these pictures are not yet listed on the website). We will also get one "Best Of" Army helm plus some ATYCLB promo-stuff (like briefcases) in the nearer future. Below you'll find links to three PDF files containing more information about the fund-raiser: site not longer available

It would be great if you could support this fund-raiser by mentioning it on your website, spreading the word about it, donanting items for the give-away or simply spend some money ! If you need any more informations feel free to contact us anytime, we'll get back to you asap. If you need a txt-file containing the text from the PDF-Files let me know and you'll get it. If you need anything else (banner or whatever you need) to promote this fund-raiser feel free to ask !
