U2 Elevation Tour - U2 World Tour next Summer?

(ShowBizIreland.com) -- After a disappointing show at the Euro MTV Awards Irish rockers U2 are planning a number of secret gigs around the world next year.

According to press reports the four piece band want to celebrate their Greatest Hits album by playing a handful of concerts around the world in their favourite cities.

Already U2 fans are wondering the scale of these shows, the U2 machine is a big production event and when they go on a world tour they really take the boat out.

If, by the sounds of things, these intended concerts will be intimate gigs tickets will surely be rarer than gold dust?

According to Daily Mirror sources: "They will go on the road for a few concerts next summer. It's not going to be a huge tour but there is going to be a select number of concerts at their favourite cities around the world. There is every chance that they could perform in Dublin and Belfast - it's great news for their fans."
