U2 Elevation Tour - Oasis Tour With U2

(BBC News) -- Oasis are set to tour with Bono and the boys this summer. According to the tabs, the still mad-for-it Mancs will support the Irish quartet at almost 30 shows throughout Europe. Bad news though folks, there are no plans for gigs here in the UK.

Mind you, it would never have happened a few years ago. Back then, the Gallagher brothers would have indulged their well worn sneers at the prospect of supporting anyone, let alone rock aristocracy such as U2.

Oasis played a secret gig in Berlin recently to showcase their new album, 'Heathen Chemistry'. Noel reckons it’s their best yet. He told the Sun: "It’s even better than Morning Glory. I can’t stand the last two albums but this is brilliant — the best music to come out of Britain for years." We'll have to wait and see about that.
